Sabie is a lovely little town and we really enjoyed our stay. The vendors can be a bit of a bother when moving through the town as well as the local drivers are impatient, but over all we will definitely be seeing Sabie again in the future.

Very small town so its fine to stay for a weekend and experience but not much longer, if you not doing adventures activities, not much else to do.

Picturesque, fresh mountains and views.
Picturesque, fresh mountains and views. Clean, crisp air and pure water at certain venues. The roads need help, but most areas in South Africa do. Abundant wildlife and vistas to choose from. Everything is rather close and easy to navigate.

Beautiful waterfalls in and around Sabie.
Beautiful waterfalls in and around Sabie. Roads getting there a bit of a challenge though. Lots of good eateries. Day trips around the area recommended. Many hiking trails for the more energetic. I braaied every day, as nothing beats a dip in the pool and braaiing on the huge deck with the fabulous view.

Pros: Amazing location. Beautiful rolling hills and valleys.
Pros: Amazing location. Beautiful rolling hills and valleys. Great vistas. Local hikes are available (but we did not have time to enjoy) Famous for the its waterfalls.
Cons: when venturing off main paved roads, the road conditions are very poor. It took us 35 minutes to travel 8 km so do not use google maps travel times when going off the main roads
The ambience of the place is amazing 👏
I have always been booking my husband when he does his project management duties of our new house in Sabie. I fell in love with the place without even physically seeing it. Everytime, Dublin provided a safety space for my husband. Innocent and Susan have always been amazing hosts.
The reception and hospitality received from Innocent is exceptional.
He is a young man but knows how to treat his guests so warmly that it will be difficult to use another establishment for the overnight stays at Sabie.
I love the secluded location and the mountain views. The staff was really amazing!!!
I actually loved everything about, it was my second time visiting Misty Mountain. And I definitely intend to return.
The lodge has enough activities to occupy you if you don't want to go to sightseeing. At the same time Sabie town is 30 minutes away so there's plenty to do there as well.
Hmmmmm their buffet breakfast 😋👌.
The owners were very friendly also very helpful to us, it was our first time in Mpumalanga, Sabie but they made it easy for us to from their map with all the places of adventures, being able to advise us which better route to take as we were going back home. You guys are awesome 🙌🤗💖
the location is amazing! about half an hour away from Sabie we had an amazing view over the mountains. The hotel has an restaurant which also offers Dinner. The breakfast was good and you had some choices of warm breakfast. the beds were very comfy and the fireplace in our room made our stay perfect.
Wonderful little bed and breakfast on the edge of Sabie, with a great view overlooking the mountains. The check in process with thorough and easy. Friendly staff. Beautiful property. Nice touches in the room, gave good recommendations for restaurants near by (The wild fig is amazing!).
The chalets were nestled within beautiful mountains and scenery. My parents and I absolutely enjoyed our stay. The hostess, Sharon was very welcoming and advised me about the routes to take when touring the area. Our stay at Sabie Star was a very pleasant and memorable experience.
It a very refreshing environment, a flowing river around the units. I stayed in the self catering unit, everything we needed was there. The garden is maintained, beautiful scenery from within. Heated pool and cold pool, also many activities for kids. It is indeed a beautiful place.
The facility is of a superb quality and there are upgrades and good maintenance of the highest standard. Thanks to the facility for upgrading our booking to Honeymoon Suite we really enjoyed our second stay in this magnificent hotel.
Beautiful location by the river, with lovely lawns and friendly dogs to play with.
Eva met us and made us feel very welcome. She had prepared the rooms very nicely even folding the towels in a pattern, just like a fancy hotel.
The place was welcoming, the staff was friendly, we interacted with the night shift guy named Sizwe who was very helpful. Kids enjoyed the heated pool as well as the play ground. Sabie river camp is a home away from home.
The caretaker lives next door and is very helpful. The house is large and pleasant. We stayed a night only, but for a self catering visitor (with their own transport), it would be a great place to stay longer.
Unbelievable value for money, it's a huge house and really well organised self catering accommodation. Absolutely stunning views out to the mountains with a beautiful garden overlooked by a great veranda.
Very friendly owner with recommendations on what to do in the area. The guesthouse has all the services you need and is a short walk from all the center of Sabie.
